TISCO Duplex Stainless Steel Plate Realizes Multi-point Breakthroughs

Production growth: In 2023, in the severe market environment, TISCO duplex stainless steel plate production achieved growth against the trend, and the annual settlement volume exceeded 100,000 tons for the first time, achieving good benefits.

Technological breakthrough: TISCO continues to break through the key technical difficulties, successfully test-produced S32202 economic duplex stainless steel plate, and completed the supply of 120 tons of plate for Qatar's chemical storage tank project, filling the domestic gap. In addition, TISCO has also made new breakthroughs in the development of super duplex stainless steel plates with ultra-thickness, realizing the mass production of super duplex stainless steel plates with a thickness of 115mm.

 

Baosteel Rare Earth Steel Cold Rolled Sheet Mill West Galvanized Production Line has successfully rolled out 980 MPa grade galvanized duplex steel, marking a new breakthrough for Baosteel in the field of high-end automotive steel. The product has the characteristics of high strength, good machinability and corrosion resistance, and can be used in the manufacture of automobile safety parts, structural parts and other components.

 

As the country's environmental protection requirements continue to improve, steel companies need to increase environmental protection investment to improve the level of environmental protection in the production process. This has increased the production cost of duplex steel enterprises to a certain extent, but at the same time, it also promotes the development of the industry in a more environmentally friendly and sustainable direction.

 

Against the backdrop of the global green and low-carbon policy, the duplex steel industry is also actively exploring low-carbon production technologies and products. For example, CITIC Pacific Special Steel was invited to participate in the LCA expert group meeting of the World Steel Association and took the lead in compiling the world's first standard that can highlight the low-carbon contribution of high-end special steels, which reflects the active efforts and contributions of the duplex steel industry in greening and low-carbon.
